Sleepwalk Collective is an award-winning live-art and experimental theatre company creating bold, hypnotic performances between the UK and Spain.
Sleepwalk Collective is iara Solano and Sammy Metcalfe and together they create original work for theatres and unconventional spaces that emerges from a fascination with pop culture, high art, and the mysteries and complexities of our relationships with one another. Their pieces are characterised by densely poetic texts, dazzling use of light and sound, and starkly miminalistic staging. Shows include As The Flames Rose We Danced To The Sirens, The Sirens; Amusements; Karaoke; Domestica; and Kourtney Kardashian, which have toured extensively through venues and festivals of countries from four continents.
Sleepwalk Collective are associate artists at Teatro de La Abadía in Madrid, and artists in residence at Sala Baratza in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Their performance texts are published in the UK by Salamander Street and Oberon Books, and theoretical writing on their work has been included in The Twenty-First Century Performances Reader, DIY, and DIY Too.
